Anchored Near the Rock That is Higher

Scripture Reading:

“From the ends of the earth, I cry to you for help when my heart is overwhelmed. Lead me to the towering rock of safety, for you are my safe refuge, a fortress where my enemies cannot reach me.” ~Psalm 61:2-3

There are seasons in life when exhaustion sets in, our energy is completely spent, and God suddenly feels a million miles away. In those heavy moments, it is crucial to recognize that the feeling of distance never originates from Him—it is simply our own weariness and overwhelming circumstances clouding our view. God has not moved; He remains constant, faithful, and extraordinarily near.

When life presses in from every side and it feels as though there is no human way out, turning back to God is our only true path to safety. He is our ultimate sanctuary, our high tower, and our immovable defense when strength fails us completely. You do not have to fight through the exhaustion alone or try to fix everything in your own power. Run straight to Him, rest under the shadow of His protection, and let His constant presence anchor your heart today.

Reflection Question: When you feel emotionally or spiritually exhausted, what practical step can you take today to remind yourself that God is right beside you?
