Insecurity is a subtle thief that steals the true joy right out of our daily lives. When we struggle with feelings of rejection or low self-esteem, our natural human tendency is to seek validation, approval, and acceptance from the people around us. However, relying on human approval will always leave us searching for more.
God's truth is the only power capable of breaking those chains and setting us completely free. Psalm 46 reminds us that God is our ultimate refuge, our fortress, and our source of strength in every storm. He offers us an unwavering love and a total acceptance that never depends on our worldly performance or perfection. When we root our identity firmly in Him, we no longer need to chase the approval of others, because in God, we are made completely confident and secure.
