Scripture Reading:
"Think about the things of heaven, not the things of earth." — Colossians 3:2 (NLT)
God is not glorified simply by the fact that we endure suffering; He is glorified by the faith and grace reflected in our attitude while walking through it. When hard times hit, our immediate reaction is often to focus on the storm around us. However, choosing to set our minds on God shifts our internal posture entirely. Right thinking, anchored in His truth, gradually transforms us from feeling like helpless victims into living as victors in Christ.
This transformation requires deep patience. We must allow God to do His refining work without letting our impatience or frustration get in His way. Difficult circumstances are never wasted; when surrendered to Him, they build enduring spiritual strength. Walking through trials alongside God guarantees that you will emerge on the other side with a victory—and a tested faith—that no earthly trouble can ever take away.
Reflection Question: In what current struggle can you shift your mindset from a feeling of defeat to trusting God’s refining work in your life?
