Created by Him, for Him

In a world that constantly tries to tell us who we should be, how we should look, or what we should accomplish, it is incredibly easy to lose sight of our true identity. But the foundational truth of your existence is beautifully simple: you are not an accident, a random coincidence, or a product of chance. God created every single person with a unique purpose, a specific plan, and a divine destiny in mind.

The psalmist grounds us in this absolute reality in Psalm 100:3:

"Know that the Lord is God. It is he who made us, and we are his; we are his people, the sheep of his pasture."

You were created by God, and you were created for God. You belong to Him. Because your origin story starts in the very heart of the Creator, your ultimate fulfillment will never be found in chasing the things of this world. It is only found in leaning into the relationship He desires to have with you.

When we truly realize that our lives belong to Him and that His plans for us are remarkably good, our natural response shifts from striving to pure celebration. Our souls begin to mirror the beautiful, overflowing joy found in Mary's song in Luke 1:46-47:

"And Mary said: 'My soul glorifies the Lord and my spirit rejoices in God my Savior...'"

Living out your God-given destiny doesn't mean having a perfect, trouble-free life. It means walking so closely with your Maker that your inner spirit can't help but rejoice, knowing you are exactly where you belong—held safely in the hands of the One who designed you for His glory.

Reflection Question: Knowing that you were intentionally created by God and for God, how does that truth shift your focus away from trying to please the world and toward simply resting in His specific plan for you today?
