Cultivating Quiet Moments With God

Scripture Reading:

"The Lord confides in those who fear him; he makes his covenant known to them." — Psalm 25:14 (NLT)

"Be still, and know that I am God! I will be honored by every nation, I will be honored throughout the world." — Psalm 46:10 (NLT)

"But when you pray, go away by yourself, shut the door behind you, and pray to your Father in private. Then your Father, who sees everything, will reward you." — Matthew 6:5–6 (NLT)

Friendship is never built in a hurry, and our relationship with God is no exception. If we want to experience deep intimacy with our Heavenly Father, we must intentionally create space in our busy routines to spend quiet, uninterrupted time with Him. Building a genuine friendship requires us to slow down, clear away the surrounding noise, and simply be still in His presence.

When you go into your quiet space, shut out distractions, and open His Word with an expectant heart, you allow room to truly listen. God longs to confide in you, revealing the depths of His heart and whispering truths about His infinite grace into your soul. He isn't asking for elaborate speeches; He desires a still, open heart ready to receive His peace and guidance. Make the choice today to step away from the noise, sit quietly before Him, and let His gentle voice restore your spirit.

Reflection Question: What is one distraction you can set aside today to create fifteen minutes of quiet stillness with God?
