Beyond What You Can See

The Reality Check: Most of the time, we work for a "visible" reward—a grade, a paycheck, or a "thank you." But Ephesians 6:7-8 challenges us to work as if we are working for God, not people. Why? Because people might overlook your effort, but God never does.

The Deeper Truth: This week’s verses show a two-way street of pursuit.

  • His Pursuit: Like the woman with the coin (Luke 15) or Jesus with the woman in John 8, God is constantly moving toward us with grace, even when we’ve messed up.

  • Your Pursuit: Deuteronomy 4:29 is a promise: God isn't hiding from you. If you genuinely seek Him, you’ll find Him.

The coolest part? 1 Corinthians 2:9 tells us that what God has waiting for those who love and seek Him is "beyond what eye has seen or ear has heard." You aren't just "doing religion"; you are pursuing a relationship that leads to a future you can't even imagine yet.

The Challenge: Think about your "work" this week (school, sports, chores). If you did those things for an "Audience of One" (God) instead of for people's approval, how would your attitude change? Ask God to reveal the "beyond imagination" plans He has for your life as you seek Him.
