Daily Bread
There is always hope in God, even when our hearts feel restless or unsatisfied. Proverbs 30:8 gives us a simple, honest prayer: “Give me neither poverty nor riches…give me just enough.” It’s a reminder that what we truly need isn’t excess—it’s God’s faithful provision, one day at a time.
When we find ourselves feeling discontent, that’s our cue to pause and ask God for help. Contentment doesn’t always come naturally, but it grows when we trust that He knows exactly what we need. Jesus is our daily bread—our source of strength, peace, and provision in every season.
Choosing contentment means shifting our focus from what’s lacking to what God has already given. It means trusting His timing, His wisdom, and His care. So we pray for “enough,” and in doing so, we discover that in Him, enough truly is everything.
“First, help me never to tell a lie. Second, give me neither poverty nor riches! Give me just enough to satisfy my needs.” ~Proverbs 30:8
