Recognizing the Provider Behind the Provision

“Then he climbed into the boat with them, and the wind died down. They were completely amazed, for they still didn’t understand the significance of the miracle of the loaves, for their hearts were hard." — Mark 6:51–52 (NLT)

When incredible things happen in life, it is easy for human pride to take the credit. Without a surrendered heart to God, people often attribute breakthroughs to their own positive thinking, wishful focus, or modern concepts like "manifestation." They end up celebrating the result while completely ignoring the Miracle-Worker who made it possible.

It is dangerous to fall in love with the provision while remaining blind to the Provider. In Mark 6, even the disciples struggled to grasp who Jesus truly was because their hearts were hardened by the sheer logic of what they had just witnessed. Miracles are not self-generated rewards for our own optimism; they are intentional acts of divine grace meant to reveal the power and presence of Jesus. May we never get so caught up in the blessings, answers to prayer, or unexpected open doors that we forget to bow our hearts in gratitude to the One who made them happen.
