Stay the Course

Scripture Reading:

“Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. Iwill hold you up with my victorious right hand.” ~Isaiah 41:10

When we are confronted with obstacles that feel utterly insurmountable, our default human reaction is often self-preservation—we want to cut ties, walk away, and run as fast as we can in the opposite direction. However, if the mission or calling you are pursuing originates from God Himself, the solution is not to flee, but to stay firmly rooted where He has placed you.

When you stand ground in obedience, you position yourself to receive divine strength, because the same God who gave you the assignment is the precise source from which your help will flow. Even when circumstances deteriorate to the point where all human hope seems completely lost, our Heavenly Father is actively working behind the scenes. He is faithful to step in, intervene, and break through at just the right moment, turning your overwhelming mountain into a testimony of His power.

Reflection Question: Is there a difficult assignment or situation in your life right now where God is calling you to stay and trust Him, rather than run away?
