Back to the Father’s Heart
Scripture Reading:
"For the Lord disciplines those he loves, and he punishes each one he accepts as his child." — Hebrews 12:6 (NLT)
We don't need a distant God who simply smiles, nods, and tells us "everything is fine" while we wander off course. What we truly need is a loving Father who actively directs us when we stray and teaches us wisdom for every decision. When we choose the wrong path, God’s Holy Spirit lovingly steps in to reveal what is right.
His correction is never driven by anger or spite, nor does He take pleasure in seeing us suffer. Rather, God disciplines us out of profound love, doing whatever it takes to get our attention when we head toward harm. Though His guidance can feel challenging in the moment, its ultimate purpose is always restoration. As we yield to His loving instruction, He lifts us up out of sin and gently leads us right back into the center of His heart.
Reflection Question: Is there an area in your life where God is trying to get your attention, and how can you yield to His gentle direction today?
