Empowered to Share the Good News

Scripture Reading

"Jesus came and told his disciples, 'I have been given all authority in heaven and on earth. Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.'" — Matthew 28:18–19 (NLT)

When Jesus began His earthly ministry, His first call to His followers was simple: "Follow me, and I will show you how to fish for people" (Matthew 4:19). Years later, His final words before ascending to heaven echoed that same mission through the Great Commission (Matthew 28:18-19).

Notice how Jesus framed this command. Because He spoke the universe into existence, He possesses absolute authority over all creation. Yet, in His incredible grace, He chooses to send us as His authorized agents. We aren't left to rely on our own strength or eloquence; we operate under His divine backing. You are placed in this exact moment in history to share the hope of salvation and invite others into God's family. Stand bold in your calling—you carry the power of the Gospel wherever you go.
