Family

Family can come from many places—relatives, friendships, work, and community. These relationships can offer love and support, but they can also shift or fade over time. Scripture points us to a deeper, lasting family that God invites us into.

Ephesians 1:5 tells us that God chose to adopt us as His children through Jesus. This isn’t temporary - it’s intentional, rooted in His love and grace. When we follow Jesus, we become part of God’s family, not because we’ve earned it, but because He wants us. That gives us a secure identity and a place to belong.

With that comes more than a title—we receive God’s guidance, care, and protection. We’re also connected to other believers, the church, described in 1 Timothy 3:15 as God’s household.

While other families may change, God’s family doesn’t. In Him, we find lasting identity, stability, and hope.

“God decided in advance to adopt us into his own family by bringing us to himself through Jesus Christ.” ~Ephesians 1:5

“So that if I am delayed, you will know how people must conduct themselves in the household of God. This is the church of the living God, which is the pillar and foundation of the truth.” ~I Timothy 3:15
