The Greatest Gift
The greatest gift we’ll ever receive isn’t something that fades, breaks, or loses value. It’s God’s gift to us—His Son, Jesus Christ. As 1 Peter 1:4 says, this gift is an inheritance that’s imperishable, pure, and eternal, kept secure for us. Unlike anything on earth, it can’t be taken away.
Paul captures it simply in 2 Corinthians 9:15: “Thanks be to God for His indescribable gift!” Through Jesus, we receive salvation, forgiveness, grace, and new life—gifts that sustain us daily through every season.
And this gift isn’t exclusive. Acts 10:34–35 reminds us God shows no favoritism. It’s for everyone, no matter their past or background. Anyone who seeks Him sincerely is welcomed.
We don’t earn this gift—we accept it by faith. Saying yes to Jesus opens the door to peace, purpose, hope, and eternal life. It’s already offered—you just have to receive it.
“and we have a priceless inheritance - an inheritance that is kept in heaven for you, pure and undefiled, beyond the reach of change and decay.” ~1 Peter 1:4
“Thank God for this gift too wonderful for words.” ~2 Corinthians 9:15
“Then Peter replied, I see very clearly that God shows no favoritism. In every nation he accepts those who fear him and do what is right.” ~Acts 10:34-35
